Who is Ritu Tawde, two-time corporator named BJP’s mayoral candidate

The Bharatiya Janata Party has named Ritu Tawde as its candidate for the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation mayor post. Tawde, a two-time corporator from Ghatkopar, is a prominent Marathi face for the party. The BJP-Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena alliance is confident of securing the mayor and deputy mayor positions. Sanjay Ghadi will contest for deputy mayor.
