In December, over 10.4 lakh passengers were affected by flight cancellations, with IndiGo impacting 9.82 lakh passengers and incurring Rs 22.74 crore in facilitation costs. The airline's cancellation rate stood at 9.65%, contributing to a dip in its market share. Flight delays and denied boardings also affected numerous passengers, with airlines spending significantly on compensation and facilities.
