Over 800 People Reported Missing in Delhi Within First 15 Days of 2026

More than 800 people went missing in Delhi, capital city of India within fifteen days, raising concerns over urban safety and effectiveness of tracing mechanisms.

According to the report, Delhi Police recorded 807 missing person cases between January 1 and 15, averaging about 54 disappearances daily across the capital.

Indian outlets reported that women and girls accounted for the majority of cases, with 509 females missing compared to 298 missing men during the same period.
