5 Freeway through Grapevine under a wind advisory Wednesday and Thursday – gusts could peak at 45 mph

5 freeway through Grapevine, Frazier Mountain Communities and Mojave Desert Slopes are the focus of an updated wind advisory issued at 12:48 p.m. on Tuesday by the National Weather Service. The advisory is valid from Wednesday 10 a.m. until Thursday Feb. 5, at 10 a.m.

“Northeast winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected. Probability of 40 mph or greater is 60 percent,” the NWS Hanford CA said. “Interstate 5, Highway 99, 395 and 14.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects.
