Amazon eliminating 700-plus Bay Area jobs
Amazon revealed plans to slash 769 jobs in the Bay Area, reductions that will erase positions for workers in the South Bay and San Francisco, the company reported in official filings with the state’s labor agency.
Seattle-based Amazon provided its decision for the layoffs, which will take place on April 28, in WARN notices sent to the state Employment Development Department.
