Microsoft is testing a second Windows 11 taskbar for power users

Microsoft’s PowerToys dev team is experimenting with a new menu and dock interface in Windows 11, spotted by The Verge.

The solution consists of an optional top bar called the Command Palette Dock, which is intended to provide quick access to various Command Palette extensions. It’s designed to complement the Command Palette launcher, which allows users to quickly launch apps and commands.

The Command Palette Dock is fully configurable and can be placed along any edge of the screen (top, bottom, left, or right).
