US India Trade Deal: Washington to cut tariffs on Indian goods from 25% to 18%

The United States has lowered its import tariff on Indian goods to 18 percent. India will now eliminate its tariffs and non-tariff barriers on American products. This development follows a conversation between President Trump and Prime Minister Modi. India has also agreed to cease purchasing Russian oil, opting instead for increased imports from the United States and potentially Venezuela.
