Photos: Wedemeyer all-star football games

For 51 years, Lucy Wedemeyer has attended the North-South Santa Clara County high school football game that furthers her husband’s legacy. But until Saturday, she never had the opportunity to be a part of girls’ flag football under the same Wedemeyer All-Star Game banner.

She saw the South girls’ team beat the North, 18-6, in a game that honors the legacy of Charlie Wedemeyer, the Los Gatos coach who led his team to a Central Coast Section championship while suffering through Lou Gehrig’s disease.
