REPORT: Capital Region roads costing drivers $2.1K a year
New York roads and bridges that are rough, congested, or don’t have certain safety features may be costing you money. A new 2026 report by TRIP, a Washington, DC-based national transportation research non-profit, said the current status of Capital Region roads is costing drivers about $2,098 a year. Statewide, it's about $40.3 billion annually.
