I took a last-minute trip to France. Here are 3 things I'm glad I did — and 3 I'd do differently next time.

I enjoyed visiting France with my cousin last year, but there are a few things I'd do differently next time.

• Last year, my cousin and I booked a last-minute trip to France, visiting Paris and Nice.
• I actually liked exploring without much of an itinerary, and loved visiting the Eiffel Tower twice.
• However, next time I plan to eat at more local restaurants and give myself extra time to shop.

Back in July, my cousin asked if I wanted to go to France with her — in a month.
