Kharge warns: ‘Is it RTI’s turn to be murdered?’

Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge has strongly criticized the government's approach to the Right to Information Act. He stated the government is systematically weakening the law. Kharge pointed to the murder of over 100 RTI activists since 2014. He also highlighted issues with Information Commissioners' appointments. The Economic Survey suggested re-examining the RTI Act to exempt certain information from disclosure.
