San Mateo police urge caution ahead of expected protests on Peninsula
SAN MATEO — Police urged people to exercise caution during an expected day of walkouts and protests in which students from several schools in San Mateo are expected to participate.
The San Mateo Police Department issued the advisory ahead of the anticipated protests locally and nationwide on Jan. 30.
“Officers will be monitoring the designated routes students will be following to ensure the safety of all pedestrians and drivers alike,” San Mateo police stated in an advisory the law enforcement agency issued Thursday.
