Amazon in talks to invest up to $50 billion in OpenAI, WSJ says

Amazon.com Inc. is in talks to invest as much as $50 billion in OpenAI, the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday, a deal that would accelerate ties between the world’s largest cloud-computing provider and the leading builder of AI tools.
OpenAI is seeking up to $100 billion in new capital from investors, the newspaper reported, citing people familiar with the matter. Amazon Chief Executive Officer Andy Jassy is leading negotiations with OpenAI counterpart Sam Altman, the Journal said.
