Nelco, Yotta application for starting satellite-based communication service rejected

The Department of Telecommunications has denied Global Mobile Personal Communication by Satellite (GMPCS) authorization to Tata-owned Nelco and Yotta Network Services. This crucial license, required for satellite-based communication, has only been granted to Jio Satellite, Starlink, and OneWeb India. Applications from Nelco and Yotta were rejected after examination.
