Wind advisory issued for Los Angeles County until Thursday afternoon

Santa Clarita Valley, Western Santa Monica Mountains Recreational area and Southeastern Ventura County Valleys are under a wind advisory which was released by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 12:37 a.m. The advisory is valid between 4 a.m. and 2 p.m.

According to the NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA, “Northeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts 35 to 45 mph expected.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” the NWS said.
