Fire Rips Through Luxury Hotel at Popular French Ski Resort, Hundreds Evacuated

A hotel fire broke out at one of the French Alps' biggest and most popular ski areas, Courchevel, on Tuesday. 

The fire started in the attic of the luxury hotel, Grand Alpes, around 7 pm. As of Wednesday morning, roughly 115 firefighters and local emergency services were still working to contain the blaze as it spread to other nearby wooden structures, such as Le Denali, a neighboring restaurant. 

Around 200 people were evacuated from the hotel, with another group evacuating the nearby Hotel Le Lana as the fire continued...
