BMC to begin enforcement following govt ban on chewable tobacco products

Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation has resolved to enforce a complete ban on chewable tobacco and nicotine products, following a government notification. Special enforcement squads and SHINE teams will conduct checks on vending zones and shops. Omfed parlours selling such items will also face scrutiny, with promotional materials to be removed. This move aims to curb widespread tobacco sales.
