Special film screenings for Black History Month

• The San Rafael Public Library presents a film series for Black History Month. A screening of “The Lake Merritt Monster” for teens and tweens, followed by a discussion with director Benjamin Mulholland, is at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 2. “Black Feminist,” a documentary by Zanah Thirus, will be shown at 6 p.m. Feb. 18. “The Inquisitor,” a film about pioneering Texas politician Barbara Jordan, will be shown at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 28. All screenings are at the Downtown San Rafael Library at 1100 E St. in San Rafael.
