Elon Musk's Starlink may have to seek fresh IN-SPACe nod for Direct-to-Device services in India

Starlink's Gen 2 constellation, offering advanced technologies like direct-to-device (D2D) connectivity, has been rejected by India's IN-SPACe due to unmet requirements and unpermitted frequency bands. The regulator approved only Starlink's Gen 1 for traditional broadband, while D2D services await a regulatory framework in India.
