Billie Joe Armstrong Records Bowie Classic Song

Billie Joe Armstrong and his son, Jakob, partnered to record the classic David Bowie song, “Heroes,” in honor of Survivor 50: In the Hands of Fans, hosted by Jeff Probst. The wistful anthem was first recorded in 1977, and the Armstrongs do it justice while bringing a freshness to the song.

The song dropped Friday morning in the lead-up to the Feb. 25 season opener. Armstrong and his son sing the song as the backdrop for the latest promo trailer, which shows 25-year Emmy-winning highlights of the blood, sweat, and lots of tears.
