Syria opens humanitarian corridor to Kurdish town of Kobane after ceasefire extended

The United Nations' refugee agency on Sunday said trucks carrying aid were headed for Kobane after the Syrian military agreed to open a humanitarian corridor to the Kurdish-majority town surrounded by government forces and the Turkish border. The opening of the corridor comes a day after Syrian and Kurdish forces extended a ceasefire agreement by 15 days.
