Whale found dead in Odisha's Bhitarkanika

A 25-foot female Bryde's whale was discovered dead on Saturday at the Devi river mouth beach in Bhitarkanika National Park, Kendrapada. The carcass showed signs of ship collision and previous entanglements, marking the seventh whale death along Odisha's coast in six years. An autopsy is underway to determine the exact cause of death for this protected species.
