Bengal SIR: EC orders FIRs against negligent BLOs, warns DEOs on law and order

The Election Commission of India has mandated FIRs and legal action against negligent Booth Level Officers during the SIR process. District Election Officers are instructed to suspend and initiate departmental proceedings for insubordination or dereliction of duty. West Bengal's CEO cautioned DEOs against delays in filing FIRs for law and order issues during Bengal SIR.
