Panthers edge Jets in shootout

Anton Lundell and Sam Reinhart scored in the shootout to give the Florida Panthers a 2-1 win over the host Winnipeg Jets on Thursday night in a game that had a playoff feel.

Neither team is close to its form of last season, which saw the Panthers win their second consecutive Stanley Cup and the Jets win the Presidents' Trophy for the league's best regular-season record. Both are currently outside the playoff picture.

Sam Bennett got the goal in regulation for Florida, which has won two of its last three.
