Former MLA Thamarakshan, party join NDA

Former MLA A V Thamarakshan and his faction have joined the NDA in Kerala. Thamarakshan, previously expelled from the Janadhipathya Samrakshana Samithi, announced his faction's merger with the Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular). BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar welcomed Thamarakshan. Thamarakshan had merged his faction with the JSS in 2009. The JSS was founded by K R Gowri Amma.
