SC directs Delhi govt on LeT terrorist’s death penalty plea in Red Fort case
The Supreme Court will hear a final appeal from Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Mohammad Arif. He was sentenced to death for the 2000 Red Fort attack. Three Army soldiers died in that incident. The court previously rejected his appeal and review petition. This curative plea is his last legal option. The attack occurred on December 22, 2000, inside the Red Fort.
