Man United Women beat Arsenal to set up League Cup final clash with Chelsea
Manchester United Women beat Arsenal 1-0 in the Subway Women’s League Cup semi-final at Emirates Stadium on Wednesday evening, booking their place in the final for the first time.
Arsenal came flying out of the blocks, with Frida Maanum forcing Phallon Tullis-Joyce to make a crucial save inside the second minute.
United’s first chance arrived after 15 minutes, when Ellen Wangerheim, making her full debut, ran to the far post, but her knock-down was collected by Anneke Borbe.
