Chainpur Police Station Chief Busted for Extortion: Corruption Exposed in Gumla

An anti-corruption bureau team from Ranchi apprehended Shailesh Kumar, the officer in-charge of Chainpur police station in Gumla, for accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000. Kumar had demanded the money from a local resident, Jaipal Nayak, to permit brick-making on his land for house construction, threatening false implication if payment was refused.
