Over 1.5L migratory birds sighted in Bhitarkanika in Jan 18 census

Bhitarkanika National Park welcomed 1,52,762 migratory birds of 106 species this year, a slight increase from last year's 1,51,614 birds across 118 species. These birds, arriving from Central Asia and Europe, find a hospitable habitat with abundant food sources. The annual census involved around 70 participants across 18 teams.
