Special enrolment drive to boost civil defence volunteers

Odisha is launching a special enrolment campaign to boost its civil defence volunteers from a mere 1,071 to 10,000 by March, aiming to enhance emergency preparedness. The initiative will leverage ex-servicemen and NCC volunteers, expanding coverage to 13 new districts and revising allowances to encourage participation.
