Kansas State gets first Big 12 win over Utah in dramatic fashion
P.J. Haggerty scored 34 points and Kansas State overcame Terrence Brown's 33 points in an 81-78 win over Utah in Manhattan, Kan. Tuesday night.
It was the first conference win for Kansas State after an 0-5 start in Big 12 play.
The nation's fourth leading scorer didn't get going until the second half, when Haggerty exploded for 28 points. He added eight assists and four rebounds.
Utah fell below .500 on the season despite Brown going 14-of-24 from the field, including 4-of-7 from 3-point range.
