Artificial intelligence is redrawing the skills map for India’s $280 billion IT services industry, and unless professionals upskill at speed, job disruption could be severe, said AI pioneer Andrew Ng, founder of DeepLearning.AI and cofounder of Coursera. He also cautioned against the swelling hype over AGI, arguing that large language models are not a path to human-level intelligence and that claims of AGI being imminent are misleading.
