Uttar Pradesh: Escaped undertrial prisoner arrested after encounter in Kannauj

Police in Kannauj district successfully apprehended escaped undertrial prisoner Dumpy alias Shiva during a Sunday encounter. Shot in the leg during a police exchange of fire, the accused, who had a Rs 25,000 bounty, was admitted to the district hospital. Authorities are now investigating his escape and seeking an associate.
