Report: Carrick has said no to Man United transfer despite multiple approaches

Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has been linked with a move away from the club.

However, interim manager Michael Carrick has urged the club not to sell the player. The 32-year-old remains an integral part of the first-team squad, and Manchester United could certainly use him. They have looked vulnerable at the back at times, and they need his experience and quality in defence. Apart from that, he’s a leader in the dressing room, and Manchester United simply cannot afford to weaken the team in the middle of the season.
