Startup boom propels India to global top three: Jitendra Singh

Union minister Jitendra Singh said India’s startup ecosystem has expanded to over two lakh firms, ranking third globally. He highlighted rising entrepreneurship in smaller towns, agriculture-led innovation and strong participation by women founders. Government support and flagship schemes, he said, have helped unlock talent far beyond major cities.
