Over 9,000 deaths due to respiratory diseases in Delhi, overall mortality rate goes up

Delhi saw an increase in respiratory disease deaths in 2024. Circulatory ailments led to the most fatalities, surpassing infectious diseases. Overall deaths in the capital also climbed. However, the Infant Mortality Rate saw a slight improvement. The city recorded fewer live births compared to the previous year, while the death rate edged up.
