New Team Has Engaged in Trade Talks with Cubs

I don’t even know what to think anymore. I’m hoping that this is simply the San Francisco Giants putting pressure on the St. Louis Cardinals to get a deal done for Brendan Donovan because according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan the Giants are also engaged in talks with the Chicago Cubs for Nico Hoerner.

The way Passan paints the picture really makes it seem like a trade is close. But again, I’m holding out hope that this is a negotiating tactic by the Giants, who could be trying to get Donovan...
