Gaddafi-funded mosque in Cyprus demolished

A mosque which was built on the northern outskirts of Nicosia with funding from the Libyan government of Muammar Gaddafi is to be demolished.

The mosque is located in the suburb of Mandres, next to the motorway which connects Nicosia and Famagusta, and is adjacent to the headquarters of the north’s religious affairs directorate.
