Andrew Copp scores OT goal as Red Wings survive Hurricanes
Andrew Copp scored with 1:33 remaining in overtime as the host Detroit Red Wings pulled out a 4-3 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes in a battle of Eastern Conference division leaders on Monday night.
Copp took a feed from Alex DeBrincat and pushed the puck past goalie Frederik Andersen as Detroit avenged a 5-2 loss to Carolina last month. DeBrincat scored his team-high 24th goal and had two assists as the Red Wings won their fourth straight.
James van Riemsdyk and Albert Johansson also scored for Detroit.
