Chilika lake development plan: CM directs focus on dredging, fisheries, tourism measures

Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi has ordered a comprehensive five-year plan for Chilika lake's revival. Key initiatives include dredging the lake's mouth and channels, enhancing fisheries, and building sustainable infrastructure. The CM emphasised protecting this biodiversity hotspot, which faces siltation issues. Tourism promotion through festivals and interpretation centers is also a priority.
