Wind advisory in place for Santa Susana Mountains until Monday afternoon – gusts up to 55 mph

The National Weather Service released a wind advisory at 6:13 p.m. on Sunday in effect until Monday Jan. 12, at 1 p.m. for Santa Susana Mountains.

The NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA says to expect, “Northeast winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” according to the NWS. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
