Warriors to honor late Grateful Dead founder Bob Weir

SAN FRANCISCO – The Warriors will hold a moment of silence to honor the late Bob Weir before they play the Hawks on Sunday evening. 

Weir, a Bay Area native, was a founding member of the legendary rock band Grateful Dead. He died on Saturday, at 78, after battling cancer. 

Warriors coach Steve Kerr began his pregame press conference by remembering the rock and roll icon.
