Woman’s death in Hawthorne investigated

HAWTHORNE — A woman was declared dead Saturday in Hawthorne.

The death was reported at 3:20 a.m. in the 3200 block of West 139th Street, at Chadron Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, which was investigating.

Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics pronounced the woman dead at the scene. A description of the woman was not provided.

The circumstances of the woman’s death were not available.
