Virginia Tech clamps down late to beat Cal
Amani Hansberry scored 15 points and Jailen Bedford added 13 as Virginia Tech matched its win total from last season with a 78-75 win over California on Saturday in Blacksburg.
After Bedford made one of two free throws with 2.6 seconds left, the Hokes escaped with the win after Cal's Justin Pippen missed an open 3-pointer at the buzzer.
