Assam’s merit-based recruitment model draws interest from other states: CM Himanta Biswa Sarma

Assam's Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that the state's transparent, merit-based recruitment system is now a model for other Indian states. Over 1.56 lakh government jobs have been filled under this system. Sarma presented appointment letters to 6,347 Grade-III candidates, urging them to uphold integrity and serve the poor with humility. He also encouraged continuous learning and community engagement.
