Colorado Governor Jared Polis Admits Tina Peters Sentence is ‘Harsh’ — Opens Door to Possible Commutation!
Colorado Governor Jared Polis has signalled that he may reconsider the nine-year prison sentence imposed on former Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters.
Speaking with a local CBS affiliate, Polis admitted the punishment was “harsh” and said he was considering a potential commutation of Peters, who was seeking to blow the whistle on the fraud that took place during the 2020 presidential election.
“She got a sentence that was harsh. It was a nine-year sentence,” Polis told CBS Colorado in an interview aired Thursday night.
