Govt, IIT-Madras to ready Chilika restoration plan

Odisha government is preparing a Rs 2,000 crore detailed project report with IIT Madras to restore Chilika lagoon's ecosystem and boost productivity. The plan includes opening a new tidal mouth, desilting channels, and enhancing fisheries and tourism infrastructure for sustainable development and community benefit.
