Cedar fever cure? Researchers developing vaccine for severe allergies

Researchers at Penn Medicine have developed an mRNA vaccine that could potentially cure allergies by stopping allergens from causing a dangerous immune system response. The vaccine has shown positive results in mice and could be used to help with multiple sclerosis, celiac disease, and rheumatoid arthritis. However, the development of the allergy vaccine could take up to ten years, and there has been pushback against mRNA vaccines, which has affected the funding landscape.
