India, with highest number of polluted cities, to now make pollution monitoring equipment

India has established its first National Environmental Standard Laboratory (NESL) at CSIR-NPL, aiming to reduce reliance on foreign certifications for air pollution monitoring equipment. This facility will develop testing and calibration capabilities to address discrepancies caused by differing environmental conditions, ensuring more reliable data for national programs.
