4.2 magnitude earthquake strikes near Cloverdale
A 4.2 magnitude earthquake struck early Thursday near Cloverdale and shook parts of Sonoma, Mendocino, Napa and Lake counties, officials said.
The shaking began around midnight just over seven miles east-northeast of Cloverdale, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The origin was about 2 miles beneath the surface.
Moderate shaking with “very light” damage was reported by residents in Nice, just north of Clear Lake in Lake County, and around where Sonoma County borders both Lake and Mendocino counties...
